The Parade has grown every year and brings together families, musicians, civic groups and exhibitionists of all stripes who each bring their own 4th of July flair, their pup or two and a chair or wagon for the kiddos to line the street and cheer on the parade!

The official parade grandstand is located in front of the Ocean Park Branch Library, with announcements and dedicated media location.

The parade starts at 9:30am at Pico Boulevard on Main Street by the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium and the route goes south on Main Street which will be closed to cars the entire morning down to Marine until approximately 12pm.

Volunteers are always welcome to make the Parade happen every year and it’s lot’s of fun! We need help with everything from ushering participants, affixing last minute decorations, to wrangling adorable young ones trying to crash the Parade for a spot a lime light.
